Our goal is to create clean, healthy, spiritually transformed, peaceful communities by reaching out through our Community Health Ambassadors, radio messages, signboards, distribution of training manuals and more. EQUIP works with over 400 communities throughout Liberia educating them on issues of health and justice.
Our trained regional supervisors are responsible for training Community Health Ambassadors and networking with community groups through community health and justice committees.  Health Supervisors hold workshops throughout their regions to teach on subjects such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, diarrhea, respiratory tract infection, nutrition, and sexual faithfulness. While Protection Monitors teach about Rule of Law, Human Rights and Sexual Gender Based Violence/Sexual Exploitation and Abuse.
EQUIP developed culture-specific training manuals for use in the Liberian context. These training manuals are based on the guidelines given by the MOH for Community Health Volunteers and focus on preventative health care.  Many traditional cultural beliefs can be physically and spiritually harmful and EQUIP uses these manuals along with a hands on method of teaching that involves the student so that they are finding the truth about a scenario themselves.
