Welcome to Equip Liberia

Equip Liberia demonstrates the love of Christ in order to bring healing, hope and fullness of life to the war affected and impoverished people of Liberia - especially the children. In 2005-2006 Equip Liberia's ministries served over 300,000 people with health, education, and spiritual care.

Fifteen years of devastating civil war are over! Liberia has elected Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the first woman President in the history of Africa. In keeping with Dave’s prophetic warning to him the exiled former Liberian President Charles Taylor is in a Sierra Leone cell on trial for crimes against humanity, and the people are becoming hopeful. This is an exciting time of healing, action, and rebuilding in Liberia. Peace is taking firm root. Equip has trained over 2,000 volunteer Community Health Ambassadors who transform, teach, heal, serve and bring faith to families in their own communities. Ex-combatants are being counseled and going back to school, life giving water is being supplied to many villages and sanitation systems are improving.

Great progress is being made, but much remains to be done. Please look at the work we are doing and find out how you can get involved.

Much Love from,

Dave and Audry Waines
